Silvia Brindlmayer and Dirk Pfeffer are the founders of BLUSUN. Together they can look back on decades of experience in the barefoot shoe and fashion sector. The two have realised time and again that the interplay of modern design and responsible action is not a matter of course. And they have recognised their customers' desire for sustainable quality and transparent communication. This was the driving force behind BLUSUN: high-quality and fashionable barefoot shoes that are produced responsibly and transparently.

BLUSUN is a play on words, from the Italian ‘sole azzurro’. The German translation combines the beauty of the azure blue sky with the radiant sun, creating a link to the Mediterranean lifestyle and comfort. With the help of this inspiring connection, BLUSUN has set itself the goal of uniting fashion and mindfulness in perfect harmony.

From the idea to the finished barefoot shoe and happy wearer: it's a lot of work. Having a finished design idea produced in high quality from sustainable materials and under fair working conditions is a big task and a lengthy process. But BLUSUN loves and lives for detail. And every challenge, whether it's a perfect seam or a clean supply chain, is motivation.
